It was really weird in there. Lots of stuff going on, little bits of electricity passing over me constantly, on and off, on and off, and off and on. Very strange. Don't quite feel the same anymore.
However.
I'm at the library now. And it's pretty quiet, nobody about much, too early. I think I'll go upstairs and read the correspondence of the Prince Regent.

...
The Prince Regent is one of my favourite characters - he is so much larger than life, and works so much better when he has a mad father as a background. At odds with everyone, his mother, his wife. Who left and travelled around Europe by herself. And the Prince never really becomes King. Well he does, eventually, but not so you'd notice, there are other things to interest us by then, though I'm not sure what they are. Me, I keep thinking about the palm trees in the kitchens. Holding the roof up with their fronds, and when you think about it, who would see them but the cooks. Did the courtiers and the Prince sneak in for midnight snacks?
The King asked the Queen, and the Queen asked the dairy maid, can we have some butter for the royal slice of bread?
The dairy maid said Certainly, I'll go and ask the Aldernay before she goes to bed.
The Aldernay said sleepily, many people nowadays prefer marmalade instead.

Was it one of those situations?
Or was it that the food, without the palm trees, wouldn't have been so good?
